What we do

As an advocacy organisation, SANDA is at the forefront in promoting and advancing the rights of Deaf people at all levels of society.

The organisation complements the work of government and provides a good basis for partnership particularly in relation to programmes in advocacy, awareness and public education; Deaf education, skills development and scholarship, economic empowerment; ICT; Deaf women and Deaf youth development programmes as well as mainstreaming of Deaf people in society.

•	Membership development and Networking	A growing membership mass-based organisation of Deaf people able to attract and retain and advocate the interests of its members.
•	Outreach and partnership	A SANDA organisation that is a doer and facilitator that helps build partnerships that help advance the interests of Deaf people.
•	Corporate Services	A SANDA that enables the achievement of seven strategic priorities through prudent financial management and control, IT, Human Resources Management, organisational development, and fundraising that contribute towards a better and sustainable organisation.
